Nickname/Status questions @ Android

To change your nickname, log into your profile and tap your nickname, then enter your new one. You can also use emojis for your nickname.

To change your status, log into your profile and tap on your status above your avatar or on the "Say something to your friends" line. Once here you can enter your new status.
